Motorhome shows in France 2026: Paris Le Bourget and the regional dates

Autumn is peak season for motorhome and camper van shows in France. The national event, the Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs, fills the Paris-Le Bourget exhibition centre from 26 September to 4 October 2026. Around it, some fifteen regional shows follow one another from mid-September to mid-November, from Bordeaux to Rennes via Rouen, Nantes, Narbonne, Toulouse and, for the first time, Lyon with a full-scale show at Eurexpo. This guide gathers the dates confirmed by organisers and exhibition centres, admission prices where published, the first 2027 dates, and something most listings skip: what a stand costs for a dealer or an accessory brand.

Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs 2026 at Le Bourget: dates and what to expect

The Salon des Véhicules de Loisirs, known in France as the Salon VDL or simply the Le Bourget motorhome show, runs from Saturday 26 September to Sunday 4 October 2026, 10am to 7pm, at the Paris-Le Bourget exhibition centre, north of Paris. It is the 60th edition. The organiser, UNI VDL, the French leisure vehicle manufacturers' association, announces more than 150 exhibitors, more than 650 vehicles on display and 70,000 m² of halls over nine days.

For scale: according to Camping-car Magazine, the 2025 edition drew close to 87,000 visitors for 650 vehicles and 150 exhibitors across three halls, after more than 94,000 admissions in 2024. No other motorhome show in France comes close: the busiest regional shows draw around 10,000 visitors.

The 2026 programme brings together the 2027 model year from motorhome, van and campervan manufacturers, caravans, accessory brands, a test drive centre and, new for this anniversary, an exhibition of vintage leisure vehicles. Admission prices are not displayed openly on the website at the time of writing: the organiser releases prices and promotional offers through its online ticketing and newsletter. Access by RER B to Le Bourget station, then shuttle buses.

A few pointers. Bordeaux, Brignoles and Nice run the same week, just before Le Bourget: these are dealer shows, where regional networks clear their 2026 stock before the 2027 models arrive. The weekend of 9 to 12 October packs three very different events: Rouen and Nantes for classic motorhomes, Chantilly for open-air vanlife. Rennes closes the season of large regional shows in early November with 400 new vehicles announced by the exhibition centre. Vanlife Expo Bordeaux, held alongside the Home show, drew 10,049 visitors at its first edition in November 2025, according to the organiser.

Lyon motorhome show 2026: a real show at Eurexpo at last

Lyon had never had a large motorhome show. Until now, the region made do with a leisure vehicle area at the Lyon spring fair and a dealer show held in May on a karting circuit. That changes in 2026: CAP MOBILE, first edition, runs from 11 to 15 November 2026 at Eurexpo, with GL events, the venue operator, behind it. At the time of writing the organiser has published neither opening hours nor prices, only a form for exhibitors and partners.

For the wider Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, two other events are worth noting. Grenoble held its first regional motorhome show at Alpexpo from 10 to 13 September 2026, with 120 vehicles according to Alpexpo; it has passed, but it will be back. And Vanlife Expo Grenoble is changing season: the 4th edition leaves May for 20 and 21 March 2027.

What about 2027? The first announced dates and the winter shows to watch

Regional organisers publish their dates late, often two to three months before the event. As of 16 September 2026, only four 2027 events have official dates:

• La Rochelle, the Mêlée du camping-car in late February then the Rochelais show in late April, on the Marcel-Deflandre stadium car park: 120 vehicles and 31 brands in April 2026, €3.

Auxerre announces a second edition "in 2027" with no precise day, and Narbonne plans a spring edition in early March whose year is not confirmed on the venue's page. This guide will be updated as 2027 dates are released.

How much does admission to a motorhome show cost?

Admission to a motorhome show in France costs between nothing and about ten euros. Dealer shows are most often free or nearly so, because their purpose is to sell vehicles: free entry in Brignoles, Nice, Montpellier or Poitiers, €2 in Clermont-Ferrand, €3 in Bordeaux and La Rochelle. Shows run by an exhibition centre or an independent organiser charge €5 to €7: €6 in Rouen, €6 online and €7 on site in Nantes, €5 in Beauvais. Vanlife shows, which sell an atmosphere as much as vehicles, go up to €8 or €10, as at Vanlife Expo Bordeaux. Almost everywhere, a free invitation can be downloaded from the organiser's website or picked up from an exhibiting dealer: look for it before paying.

Exhibiting at a motorhome show: what dealers and accessory brands pay

A motorhome show is unlike a classic trade show. The main exhibitors are regional dealers who each bring 20 to 100 vehicles, which explains huge floor areas for a modest number of exhibitors: 70,000 m² for 150 exhibitors at Le Bourget, 16,000 m² for 141 companies at Vanlife Expo Rennes. Around them come accessory brands, van converters, campsites, insurers and rental companies, on much smaller stands.

Stand prices are rarely public, but two organisers publish them. Camping-car Mulhouse offers three per-square-metre packages for 2027: €95 excl. VAT per m² for 4 m², €85 for 8 m², €80 for 16 m², with power connection, partition walls and communication included, and a 50% deposit on order. Vanlife Expo puts its basic stand at €450 excl. VAT for two days indoors and values a 36 m² pitch at €1,800 excl. VAT before options. At Le Bourget, UNI VDL publishes no price list: booking goes through a coded exhibitor area, and floor space is negotiated brand by brand. For a regional show, count on a few hundred euros for an accessory stand and several thousand for a dealer area, excluding vehicles and staff.

On the organising side, the real headache of these shows is the floor plan: hundreds of vehicles to place by dealer and by brand, aisles wide enough to walk through, accessory stands to slot in between, and exhibitor files to follow for months. In both cases, "show special" discounts exist, but they vary from one exhibitor to the next: visit several stands before signing.
