Innov-Agri (September 2-4, Outarville) is not a hall-based trade show: machinery runs live on dozens of hectares of cropland south of Paris. Harvesting, tillage, spraying and robotics are demonstrated in real conditions, right when French farmers plan their next investments.
Les Terres de Jim (September 11-13, Metz-Magny) is billed as Europe's largest open-air farm festival, organised by the Jeunes Agriculteurs union. The 2026 edition moves to Moselle, near the German border, with more than 100,000 visitors expected over three days.
SPACE (September 15-17, Rennes) is the international livestock production show: dairy and beef cattle, pigs, poultry and sheep. It gathers hundreds of exhibitors from around the world and more than 100,000 professional visitors around genetics, equipment, animal nutrition and innovation. Western France is the country's leading livestock region, and SPACE is its yearly summit.
The 35th Sommet de l'Élevage takes place October 6-9, 2026 at the Grande Halle d'Auvergne near Clermont-Ferrand. The organiser's figures speak for themselves: around 1,700 exhibitors, 120,000 professional visitors expected, and close to 2,000 elite breeding animals.
The 2026 edition highlights pastoralism, echoing the UN International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists, and hosts the national competition of the Limousine beef breed. Positioned as the world's leading sustainable livestock show, the Sommet draws strong international delegations, particularly from the Mediterranean basin and West Africa. Many international buyers combine it with SPACE three weeks earlier.
Vinitech-Sifel (December 1-3, Bordeaux) celebrates its 25th edition with around 700 exhibitors from 24 countries and 40,000 professionals across 70,000 sqm. It covers equipment for wine-growing, fruit and vegetable production: presses, tanks, harvesting machines, bottling lines, weeding robots and connected sensors.
SIVAL (January 12-14, 2027, Angers) opens the new year with its 40th edition, dedicated to specialised plant production: viticulture, fruit, vegetables, horticulture, seeds and medicinal plants. Its SIVAL Innovation awards are closely watched by the industry.
The 63rd Salon international de l'agriculture runs February 27 to March 7, 2027 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, open daily 9am to 7pm. Across 16 hectares of halls, the SIA is unlike any other event: France's biggest farm for the general public, a national livestock competition, and a mandatory stop for French politics.
For exhibitors, the SIA follows a visibility logic rather than a B2B order-book logic: regions, food brands and trade bodies book their spaces months in advance to reach the general public.
SIMA, the historic Paris farm machinery show, was rebranded AgriSIMA and scheduled for February 2026. The edition was cancelled after major equipment manufacturers declined to participate, and organisers are considering a return in February 2027 or 2028. In the meantime, machinery makers are shifting their budgets to open-field demos like Innov-Agri and to regional livestock shows.
